October Panorama with Gabriel Barletta
Gabriel Barletta
CEO of Panorama de las Américas
Traveling is, above all, the opportunity to discover the unexpected. At Panorama of the Americas, we want to invite you to open that window of wonder that unfolds when you pause along the way.
And nothing is more surprising than the secrets the ocean holds. If you find yourself in Panama this October, or if you decide to extend your layover in our country thanks to Copa Airlines’ StopOver program, in this edition we suggest you take a catamaran trip to the Pearl Islands archipelago. There, we invite you to bid farewell to the last humpback whales of the season and discover a paradise of deserted islands and lush beaches.
Dance also takes center stage in this edition. From the 7th to the 18th, Panama City will vibrate with the energy of the Prisma Contemporary Dance Festival, an event that transforms the capital into a vibrant stage, full of diversity, risk, and beauty.
Beyond our borders, we travel to Lake Atitlán in Guatemala: a mesmerizing mirror of volcanoes and villages that dazzle with their colors and traditions. There, the huipiles embroidered with ancestral patience, the ceramics that tell stories, and the flavors ranging from ceremonial chocolate to the freshness of local herbs become indelible imprints on our sensory memory.
Meanwhile, Miami Beach is celebrating a century of Art Deco, the style born in Paris that crossed the Atlantic to reinvent itself in a tropical key. The anniversary is being celebrated with guided walks, rooftop cocktails, and street festivals where facades gleam like jewels against the backdrop of palm trees.
In these pages we invite you to stop, look with different eyes and let each destination be an invitation to discover, feel and transform.
Because traveling is not just about moving around: it’s about learning to inhabit beauty in all its forms.
Welcome aboard and happy reading!
