Panama is as small as it is diverse. I n its limited geography, it holds coastlines on two oceans, nearly untouched tropical forests, a top-tier culinary scene, and an incredible contrast of architectural styles.

That’s why, in this edition of Panorama de las Américas, we wanted to highlight the slogan Stopover program of Copa Airlines: “Panama tiene de todo y cerca” (“Panama has it all and it’s close by”) — inviting you to take advantage of the free stopover the airline offers in our country. No matter your point of departure or final destination, if you travel with Copa Airlines, you can extend your layover in Panama for up to 7 days at no extra cost, allowing you to enjoy the wide range of tourist experiences our country has to offer.
Gastronomy? We have five restaurants ranked among the best in Latin America.

¿Arquitecture? Admire the skyline of one of the most modern cities of Central America flanked, on one side, by the ruins of Panama Viejo and, on the other by its vibrant Casco Antiguo (Old Quarter), where you can enjoy the summer breeze from one of its fabulous rooftops.

Nature? You can take a two-hour hike through the Metropolitan Park, right in the heart of the city, or explore a trail of 30 kilometers around the crater of a volcano,in El Valle de Antón.Y ou can also hop on a boat from the center of the city and dive into the Pacific Ocean’s depths in the stunning Archipielago de las Perlas.

In this edition, we also highlight the special connection our country has with sea turtles. Five of the seven species that exist in the world nest here, and we have two of the eleven beaches where up to 20,000 turtles arrive simultaneously over just a few nights. This is a great time to visit the beaches where their nests are protected. Read our article to discover more about these amazing places.

On the international side, this month we visit Jalisco, the place where the traditions set that distinguish Mexico apart from the rest of the world languages charros, tequila and the culinary delights. Guadalajara is a perfect city for a four-day getaway filled with activities, culture, and tradition. Join us and ride horseback through the fields of agave.
