Each edition of Panorama of the Americas is an invitation to discover the continent’s richness with curious and open eyes. Here, landscapes and cities coexist with nature and culture, memories and new visions. Our purpose remains the same: to share the stories that make the Americas a living, diverse mosaic, where every destination reveals its own soul.

This time, we begin our edition by ascending to the highest point in Panama: the summit of the Barú Volcano. There, where a simple turn of the head reveals both oceans—as our writer describes—lies the essence of Panama: proximity and abundance.

Most of those who make the climb start from Boquete, drawn by its hotels and easy access. But adventurers know that the trail beginning in Volcán holds the true magic of the Chiriquí Highlands. More demanding and technical, this path crosses at least five ecosystems and offers, from the very first step, an unforgettable natural spectacle.

After this adventure, our edition turns to culture with a destination that never ceases to amaze: Cuba. The island reveals itself here from its most artistic angle, where music, visual arts, and architecture intertwine in a unique language. It is no coincidence that, between 2020 and 2025, international recognition has placed Cuba as the undisputed leader in cultural tourism.

Back in Panama, we stop at the newly inaugurated Centro Espacio Arte, which in September will host an international colloquium featuring influential voices of Latin American art.

For those travelers seeking to dig into the soul of local communities, we explored the cemeteries of the Amador complex—a silent narrative of the country’s memory.

And because nature continues to set the rhythm of our region, we invite you to witness an encounter with humpback whales and sea turtles—unique spectacles that take place along Panama’s coasts, reminding us of the immense value of wildlife.

This edition invites you to walk through volcanoes and beaches, step into museums and cemeteries, and listen to both voices and silences because traveling is, above all, about discovering the soul of places.
